PM Modi Hails GST Council for Collectively Endorsing Union Govt's Proposals on Next-Gen GST Reforms
The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, recently expressed his honour and gratitude to the GST council, comprising the Union and the States, for collectively endorsing the proposals submitted by the Union Government on GST rates rationalisation, which will provide major relief to common people, farmers, MSMEs, the middle class, women and youth. The Prime Minister stated, "The wide-ranging reforms will improve the lives of our citizens and ensure ease of doing business for all, especially small traders and businesses."
Shri Narendra Modi posted on the platform 'X', where he said that in his 79th Independence Day speech, he spoke about soon to bring Next-Generation GST reforms, aimed at ease of living for the common man and strengthening the economy. Keeping this in mind, the Union Government prepared a detailed list of proposals for broad-based GST rate rationalisation and process reforms.
Now, the prime minister is blissful that the GST council, including the Union and State, have collectively agreed to the proposed GST rate cuts and reforms by the Union Government. These GST reforms will benefit the common man, farmers, MSMEs, the middle class, women and youth. These rationalisations will ease the lives of Indian dwellers and will ease the establishment of businesses in the country, especially for small traders and businesses.
