Prism Johnson Limited has received relief in a tax dispute involving a Rs 22.70 crore Goods and Services Tax (GST) demand, including a penalty of Rs 11.35 crore.
The company said the Commissioner (Appeals), CGST, Excise & Service Tax, Bhopal, through an order dated September 3, 2026, has set aside the entire GST demand and penalties imposed on the company and its employees.
The dispute relates to a GST order passed by the Additional Commissioner, CGST & Central Excise, Jabalpur. Prism Johnson had challenged the order through appeals.
The company received the appellate order by email on September 7, 2026. With the demand being cancelled in full, Prism Johnson said there will be no adverse financial or operational impact on the company.
The matter was part of an earlier litigation disclosure made by the company in August 2023. The latest order also removes the penalties imposed on the company, its employees and the then Key Managerial Personnel.
