Bombay High Court Recruitment 2025: Bombay High Court is seeking online applications from bright, qualified and desirous candidates for the post of Stenographer (Higher Grade) and Stenographer (Lower Grade). As per the official notification of Bombay High Court Recruitment 2025, there are 05 existing openings to be filled for the given posts. The required qualifications are provided in the article below. The candidate should have a minimum age of 21 years and a maximum age of 38 years for UR, 43 Years for SC/ST/OBC, or Special Backward Class specified, for the time being by the Government of Maharashtra.

According to the official notification of Bombay High Court Recruitment 2025, the selected candidates will be offered a monthly salary between Rs.49100 to Rs.177500 as per the posts. (see below). The registration fee is Rs.200. The registration fee will be paid through SBI-Collect- an online payment gateway facility, only. The selection of the candidates will be determined on the basis of Tests and Viva-voce. The admit card will be available on the official website of Bombay High Court. Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria as stated in the official notification of Bombay High Court Recruitment 2025 may apply online through the official website of Bombay High Court on or before the due date. No application will be accepted after the due date. The online application has already started from 24.01.2025, 11:00 AM.

For Stenographer (Higher Grade)-

  • The applicant must possess a University Degree. However, this condition may be relaxed if the candidate has already worked for not less than 05 years as a grade Stenographer in the High Court or in any other Court or Tribunal or in the office of Advocate General or Government Pleader, as the case may be, preference being given to candidates possessing Degree in Law.
  • The applicant must have passed the Government Commercial Certificate Examination or examination conducted by the Government Board or Government Certificate in Computer Typing Basic Course (GCC-TBC) or I.T.I. for a speed of 100 w.p.m. or above in English Shorthand and 40 w.p.m. or above in English Typing.
  • The applicant must possess a Computer Certificate of proficiency in the operation of Word Processor in Windows and Linux, in addition to M.S. Office, M.S. Word, Wordstar7 and Open Office Org. obtained from any of the following Institutes:
    1. Universities established under the Maharashtra Universities Act, 1994.
    2. Goa/Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education.
    3. NIC
    4. DOEACC
    5. APTECH
    6. NIIT
    7. C-DAC
    8. DATAPRO
    9. SSI
    10. BOSTON
    11. CEDIT
    12. MS-CIT
    13. Certificate or Qualification regarding Computer knowledge specified in Government Resolutions dated 04/02/2013, 08/01/2018 and 16/07/2018 issued by the Information Technology (GAD) Department of the Government of Maharashtra.

For Stenographer (Lower Grade)-

  • The applicant must possess a University Degree. However, this condition may be relaxed if a candidate has not less than 03 years of experience as a Stenographer, preference being given to candidates possessing a Degree in Law.
  • The applicant must have passed the Government Commercial Certificate Examination or examination conducted by the Government Board or Government Certificate in Computer Typing Basic Course (GCC-TBC) or I.T.I. for a speed of 80 w.p.m. or above in English Shorthand and 40 w.p.m. or above in English Typing.
  • The applicant must possess a Computer Certificate of proficiency in the operation of Word Processor in Windows and Linux, in addition to M.S. Office, M.S. Word, Wordstar7 and Open Office Org. obtained from any of the following Institutes:

Selection Process for Bombay High Court Recruitment 2025:

The candidates will be selected for Bombay High Court Recruitment 2025 on the basis of Tests and Viva-voce. On the basis of the performance of candidates in Tests and Viva-voce, a Select List and Wait List of candidates for the above-said posts will be prepared in the order of merit and the same will be published on the official website of the Bombay High Court in due course of time after the selection process is over. Candidates can download their admit card from the official website of the Bombay High Court. The timetable, venue of the Shorthand test, Typing test, Viva-voce and the results of the recruitment process at all stages shall be displayed on the official website of the Bombay High Court.
