Reforms In Education System The University Grants Commission has issued regulations for Higher Educational Institutions to offer full-fledged online and open distance learning programme (HEIs). These laws cover a variety of topics, including eligibility requirements, the process for offering online programmes, and HEIs' compliance with infrastructure, academic, and other quality criteria. Further, based on the recommendations of the Expert Committee, UGC has proposed modifications in ODL and Online Programme Regulations. In its Budget 2022-23, the Government of India announced the establishment of a Digital University to provide students across the country with access to world-class quality universal education with personalised learning experiences delivered to their doorsteps in various Indian languages and ICT formats.
