Examination Mode: Computer-Based Recruitment Test (CBRT)

Exam Duration: 2½ Hours (150 Minutes)

Rajasthan Public Service Commission shall host a Computer Based Recruitment Test at various Examination Centers across the State. The Computer Based Recruitment Examination comprises 02 Parts with Total 150 (Part A: 40 + Part B: 110) Objective-Type MCQs for Total 150 Marks involving a Negative Marking @ 1/3rd or (0.33) Mark for each Incorrect Response or Multiple Answers.

Part-A: General Knowledge of Rajasthan: 40 Objective-Type Multiple Choice Questions = 40 Marks AND Part-B: Concerned Subject: 110 Multiple Choice Questions of Objective-Type = 110 Marks

1) Educational Qualification: Eligible Candidates should have in possession the following Qualification(s):

i) A Bachelor’s Course Degree in Food Technology (FT) or Dairy Technology (DT) or Bio-Technology (BT) or Oil Technology (OT) or Agriculture Science (Agril Sc.)or Veterinary Sciences (Vet Sc.) or Bio-Chemistry (Bio-Chemy)or Micro-Biology (MB) or Master’s Degree in Chemistry or Degree in Medicine from any duly recognized University or any other Equivalent/Duly Recognized Qualification notified by the Central Government; and

ii) Having successfully completed the Training as specified by the Food Authority in any Recognized Institute or Institution approved for the purpose:

The Selected Persons shall be imparted the Mandatory Training in the course of the Probation Tenure)

Provided that no person who has any Financial Interest in Manufacture, Import or Sale of any Food Article would be issued an Appointment as a Food Safety Officer under these rules.

2) Desirable: Working Knowledge of Hindi written in Devanagari Script and Knowledge of Rajasthani Culture.

Age Limits: General Merit Candidates should be Minimum 20 Years and should not Exceed (Maximum) 40 Years. The Upper Age Limits are relaxable for Reserved Community Candidates.

Note 1: That the Relieved Emergency Commissioned Officers (ECO) and Short Service Commissioned Officers (SSCOs) post-relieving from the Indian Army shall be deemed to be within the Age-limit even though they have crossed the Age-Limit while appearing before the Commission (provided they had been Eligible as such at the time of their joining the Commission in the Indian Army).

2: That the Upper Age Limit for the Persons rendering service in connection with the Affairs of Panchayat Committee and District Boards/Councils (Zila Parishad) and in the State Public Sector Undertakings/Corporation in Substantive Capacity shall be 40 Years.

According to the Rajasthan Civil Services (Absorption of Ex-Servicemen) Rules 1988, Relaxation in Upper Age Limit shall be 10 Years to the Ex-Servicemen (ESM);

3: Provided that in case of Direct Recruitment (DR) where Serving Experience also happens to be Essential on the Lower Post then Relaxation in the Age Equal to the period of Requisite Working Experience of the Lower Post shall be given to the Ex-Service-Men in addition to relaxation in Age already provided under these Rules;

4: Provided that the Permissible Age after relaxation under this Rule works out to be more than 50 Years then an Upper Age Limit of 50 Years shall be applicable but in the case of Direct Recruitment where Working Experience of Lower Post is Essential, the Maximum Upper Age Limit of 55 Years shall be Applicable.
