Sanofi India Limited has informed the stock exchanges that the State Tax Officer, Tiruvallur Assessment Circle, has passed an order dropping a total tax demand of Rs 1,06,78,760, along with applicable interest and penalty, for the financial year 2022-23.
The proceedings were initiated under Section 73 of the Tamil Nadu Goods and Services Tax (TNGST) Act and the Central Goods and Services Tax (CGST) Act after tax authorities identified significant differences or anomalies in the company’s GST filings for FY2022-23.
According to the company, the tax officer has accepted Sanofi India’s submissions and concluded the proceedings. As a result, there are no additional dues pending in connection with the matter.
Sanofi India said it received the order on September 21, 2026. The company also stated that the order will have no material impact on its financial position, operations or other activities.
