SBI Field Officer Nabbed by CBI in Rs 10,000 Bribe Case in Sidhi The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested a field officer of the State Bank of India (SBI) in Madhya Pradesh (Sidhi district) for accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000 from a complainant. The CBI registered a case on October 11, 2025, against the officer. It was alleged that he demanded a bribe of 10% (Rs 50,000) of a Mudra loan of Rs 5,00,000 taken by the complainant’s wife from SBI.

However after negotiation the officer agreed to accept a bribe of Rs 20,000. The CBI planned a trap and caught him on October 11, 2025, while he was accepting Rs 10,000. After which he was arrested immediately. The accused is scheduled to be produced before the Court of the Special Judge, CBI Cases, Jabalpur, on October 12, 2025. A search of the officer’s house was also conducted to recover any incriminating documents or items. But the investigation is still continuing.
