SEBI signs MoU with Mongolia’s Financial Regulatory Commission

The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) signs MoU with the Financial Regulatory Commission, Mongolia.

The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) and the Financial Regulatory Commission, Mongolia(FRC) have entered into a bilateral Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for mutual co-operation and technical assistance.

Ms. Madhabi Puri Buch, Chairperson of SEBI, and Mr. Bayarsaikhan Dembereldash, Chairman of the FRC, have both signed the MoU.

This Memorandum of Understanding aims to improve international cooperation in securities regulation. As a result, mutual assistance will be made easier, the performance of supervisory duties will be carried out more effectively, technical domain knowledge will be shared, and the rules regulating the securities markets will be more effectively enforced.

With securities authorities from many jurisdictions, SEBI has bilateral Memorandums of Understanding. The Multilateral MoU (MMoU) and Enhanced MMoU (EMMoU) of the International Organization of Securities Commissions are both documents that SEBI has signed (IOSCO).
