Sovereign Gold Bond Scheme 2021-22 opens monday; Issue Price fixed at Rs. 4791/gm
The Sovereign Gold Bond Scheme 2021-22 - Series VIII will be open for subscription from November 29, 2021 to December 03, 2021, as per GoI notification F.No.4(5)-B(W&M)/2021 and RBI press release dated October 21, 2021. The bond's nominal value is calculated using the simple average closing price [published by the India Bullion and Jewellers Association Ltd (IBJA)] for gold of 999 purity on the last three business days of the week preceding the subscription period, i.e. November 24, November 25, and November 26, 2021.
In collaboration with the Reserve Bank of India, the Government of India has decided to grant a discount of 50 rupees per gramme on the nominal value to those investors who apply online and pay for their application via digital channel. The issue price of a Gold Bond for such investors will be Rs 4,741/- (Rupees Four Thousand Seven Hundred and Forty-One only) per gramme of gold.
