SSC CGL Recruitment 2023: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will conduct the Combined Graduate Level Examination 2023 for Various Group ‘B’ and Group ‘C’ posts in Ministries/Departments/Organizations of the Government of India and other bodies. As per SSC CGL Recruitment 2023 official, notification there are approx 7500 Vacancies in this recruitment drive. As per SSC CGL Recruitment 2023 official notification, The online applications will be accepted from 3rd April 2023 to 3rd May 2023. Interested candidates can visit the official website and submit their applications before the deadline of 3rd May 2023 at 23:00. The fee payment for online applications should be made by 4th May 2023 at 23:00, and for offline Challan, candidates can pay the fees at the bank till 5th May 2023. In case of any correction, candidates can apply from 7th May 2023 to 8th May 2023 (23:00).

The examination will be conducted in computer-based mode, and Tier-I is scheduled for July 2023. Candidates who are interested in applying for the Combined Graduate Level Examination 2023 should note that the Government of India is committed to creating a workforce that reflects gender balance. Women candidates are, therefore, encouraged to apply. The examination will fill various posts in different pay levels ranging from Pay Level-8 (₹ 47600 to 151100) to Pay Level-4 (₹ 25500 to 81100). The reservation policy for Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), Ex-Servicemen (ESM), and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) candidates will be followed for all categories of posts/services, wherever applicable and admissible. The reservation for ESM is only for Group “C” posts.

The suitability of posts for various benchmark disabilities under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (RPwD) Act, 2016, will be considered by the Commission in accordance with Notification No. 38-16/2020-DD-III dated 04.01.2021 issued by the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan), Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment or as identified and intimated by the Indenting Departments/Organizations for specific posts.

It is important to note that the Commission selects candidates based on the vacancies reported by the Indenting Departments/Organizations for various posts. The Commission does not have any role in deciding the number of vacancies for any Indenting Department/Organization. Educational Qulification for SSC CGL Recruitment 2023:

As per SSC CGL Recruitment 2023 official notification, the essential educational qualifications for various posts in the Central Government as of 01-08-2023 are as follows:

Assistant Audit Officer/Assistant Accounts Officer: Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or Institute. In addition, candidates with a Chartered Accountant, Cost & Management Accountant, Company Secretary, Master in Commerce, Master in Business Studies, Masters in Business Administration (Finance), or Master in Business Economics are desirable. During the probation period, direct recruits must pass the “Subordinate Audit/Accounts Service Examination” in their respective branches for confirmation and regular appointment as Assistant Audit Officer/Assistant Accounts Officer.

Junior Statistical Officer: Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree in any subject from a recognized University or Institute with at least 60% marks in Mathematics at 12th standard level. Alternatively, candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects at the degree level.

Statistical Investigator Grade-II: Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects from a recognized University or Institute. The candidates must have studied Statistics as a subject in all the three years or all the 6 semesters of the graduation course.

Research Assistant in National Human Rights Commission (NHRC): Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or Institute. In addition, candidates with a minimum one-year research experience in any recognized university or recognized Research Institution, or a degree in Law or Human Rights from a recognized university are desirable.

All other Posts: Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or equivalent.

The candidates who have appeared in their final year of their graduation can also apply; however, they must possess the Essential qualification on or before the cut-off date i.e., 01-08-2023.

All the degrees/diplomas/certificates awarded through Open and Distance Learning mode of education by the Universities established by an Act of Parliament or State Legislature, Institutions Deemed to be Universities under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956, and Institutions of National Importance declared under an Act of Parliament stand automatically recognized for the purpose of employment to posts and services under the Central Government provided they have been approved by the Distance Education Bureau, University Grants Commission. Candidates possessing such degrees/diplomas/certificates awarded through Open and Distance Learning mode of education must produce approval given to the University by the Distance Education Bureau, University Grants Commission for the relevant period at the time of Document Verification.

Candidates who are called for document verification must produce relevant Certificates such as Mark sheets for all years/semesters of Graduation/ Provisional Certificate/ Degree of Graduation in original as proof of having acquired the minimum educational qualification on or before the cut-off date.

How to Apply for SSC CGL Recruitment 2023:

As per SSC CGL Recruitment 2023 official notification, to apply for the examination, candidates must follow the instructions given in the notification. The application process is completely online.

Candidates are required to register themselves by filling out the One-time Registration proforma and then fill out the online application form. A sample proforma of both forms is provided in Annexure-IIIA and Annexure-IVA, respectively.

Candidates must ensure that their scanned passport-size photograph is in JPEG format and between 20 KB to 50 KB in size. The photograph should be of the candidate’s face, without a cap and spectacles, and should be no more than three months old from the date of publication of the examination notice.

Before submitting the online application, candidates must check that they have filled in all the required fields correctly by using the Preview/ Print option. Candidates are advised to submit their application much before the closing date to avoid any technical issues or disconnection from the website due to heavy traffic.

The application fee payable is Rs. 100, which can be paid online through BHIM UPI, Net Banking, or by using Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, RuPay Credit, or Debit cards. Candidates belonging to certain categories such as women, SC, ST, PwBD, and ex-servicemen are exempted from paying the fee.

Candidates who are not exempted from the fee payment must ensure that their fee is deposited with the SSC. The last date to pay the fee online is 04-05-2023 (23:00 hours), and for those who wish to make a cash payment through the challan of SBI, payment can be made at the SBI branches until 05-05-2023 provided the challan has been generated by them before 04-05-2023 (23:00 hours).

The fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances and cannot be adjusted against any other examination or selection. Candidates are advised to carefully go through the instructions provided in the notification before applying for the examination.
