Steel trader's son held for Rs 6cr GST fraud in mumbai
A steel dealer and his son were arrested on Sunday by Central Goods and Services Tax (CGST) officials for allegedly claiming Rs 6.23 crore in input tax credit (ITC) by submitting bogus invoices and causing massive losses to the exchequer.
The Bhiwandi unit of the CGST detained Adarsh Jaiprakash Mittal, the proprietor of Balaji Steel, and his father Jaiprakash Mittal under different CGST regulations.
