Tax Officials raided 3 Agra Shoe Traders; Seized Cash worth Rs.40 Crores The Income Tax Department conducted raids at three shoe traders in Agra, Uttar Pradesh on Saturday and found large amounts of cash. Sources reported that officials have already tallied Rs.40 crore, with counting ongoing for the rest. The officials said that in the afternoon, raids were conducted on the shoe trader's related companies. During the search, officials found numerous bundles of Rs.500 notes in the residence of a footwear company owner. Bank personnel and staff were then brought in to assist with counting the notes. The department raided them because they suspected tax evasion and having more assets than they could explain.
