Govt Approves Commercial Taxes Department Reorganization

Telangana Government Reorganizes Commercial Taxes Department in CURE and PURE Area
The Commissioner of Commercial Taxes, Telangana, proposed restructuring the Commercial Taxes Department as per the new administrative setup in the CURE and PURE areas. The proposal is to make the Commercial Tax Divisions and Circles co-terminus with newly formed Zones and Circles.
The reorganisation relies on the necessity to realign the department’s structure with the changing urban and economic development of the state. While redesigning the jurisdictions, considerations such as workload, revenue potential, geographical convenience, administrative efficiency, etc. were taken into account. It is expected to enhance revenue monitoring, improve services to taxpayers and make better utilisation of the resources of the department.
After examining the proposal, the Government decided to reorganize the Commercial Taxes Department in the CURE area according to the recommendations submitted by the Commissioner of Commercial Taxes.
The Finance Department has already approved the creation and sanction of the required posts for implementing this reorganization.
Accordingly, the Government has officially notified the revised Divisions and Circles.
This order is issued with the concurrence of the Finance Department vide their approval order dated 11.05.2026.
The Commissioner of Commercial Taxes, Telangana, Hyderabad is directed to take further necessary action in the matter.
The reorganisation shall come into force from the 2nd June, 2026, on the occasion of Telangana State Formation Day.
