The official stated that the screening procedures and invitee list are being finalised. UP BJP secretary Raghvendra Mishra escorted as many as 100 girl students in Lucknow to watch the movie.

‘Tax Free’ in Madhya Pradesh Also

Madhya Pradesh proclaimed the film 'tax-free' last week. "The film depicts how daughters who become entangled in the trap of love jihad have their lives destroyed. It also exposes the design of terrorism." in a video message, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan remarked, "While we have already passed legislation prohibiting (forced) conversion, the film raises awareness about the issue." This film should be seen by everyone, which is why the Madhya Pradesh government has declared it tax-free," he added.

Banned in Bengal

While 2 States made the movie tax free to spread awareness among the people. The State of Bengal's Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee ordered an immediate ban on the movie and stop the screening of film in any part of the state. It was stated that the ban was ordered to avoid any incident of hatred and violence in the state. Meanwhile, the film's producer, Vipul Shah, has stated that they will file a legal challenge to the TMC government's prohibition. The Bharatiya Janata Party has backed the film, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi speaking about it during the Karnataka election campaign.
