How to Lock and Unlock Aadhar Card?

  1. First of all visit the official website of UIDAI (https://uidai.gov.in/).
  2. Go to My Aadhaar and select Lock/Unlock Biometrics option under 'Aadhaar Services'.
  3. Enter 12-digit Aadhaar number or 16-digit Virtual ID.
  4. Enter the captcha code and click on send OTP.
  5. Enter the OTP received on the registered mobile number.
  6. Click on the option to Lock/Unlock Biometric Data.
  7. Now your biometric data will be locked.

Things to Keep in Mind
