Minister announced in Parliament

Under this section, if a person does the work of linking PAN and Aadhaar after the due date, then he will be fined up to a maximum of Rs 1,000. Earlier this limit was September 30, 2021. But due to corona infection, it was increased to 31 March 2022. A notification in this regard was issued on September 17 last year.   • Go to the e-filing website of the Income Tax Department.
  • Click on the link Aadhaar section.
  • Now fill in your PAN, Aadhar Number, and Name.
  • Click on the Link Aadhaar option and your PAN Aadhaar linking will be completed.
  • The Income Tax Department will verify your name, date of birth, and gender after receiving your Aadhaar details. After that, the linking will happen.
  • Mobile number must be linked to Aadhaar
UIDAI had told in a tweet recently that there is a simple way to e-verify Income Tax Return (ITRF) using your Aadhaar. If your Aadhaar is linked with PAN, you can e-verify your ITR using Aadhaar.
