Union Minister launched Special Credit Linked Capital Subsidy Scheme for MSME Services Sector
On the second day of the MSME North East Conclave, Union MSME Minister Narayan Rane unveiled the Special Credit Linked Capital Subsidy Scheme (SCLCSS) for the services industry.
On the occasion, senior officers of the Ministry of MSME at Guwahati were also present.
The scheme will assist in meeting the technology-related requirements of enterprises in the services sector, and it includes a provision for a 25% capital subsidy for the purchase of Plant & Machinery and service equipment through institutional credit to SC-ST MSEs, with no sector-specific restrictions on technology upgradation.
The Minister also congratulated SC/ST businesses from the North-eastern region and encouraged young people to pursue entrepreneurship in order to become employment creators rather than job seekers. Shri Rane promised the youngsters that the Ministry of MSME will leave no stone unturned in their quest to become successful entrepreneurs.
He stressed that inclusive growth in the MSME sector is only possible with the support of the North-East. He noted that the Government of India's favourable policies, as well as several schemes/programs conducted by the Ministry of MSME, particularly for underprivileged parts of society, are assisting the region in realising its full potential.
Shri Rane also presented certificates to successful trainees of the NSIC Training Center in Guwahati and paid a visit to the stalls of SC-ST businesses at the Exhibition Centre, which is funded by the Ministry of MSME. He noted that such activities allow MSME entrepreneurs, particularly women and SC/ST entrepreneurs, to showcase their skills/products and offer new prospects for growth and self-sufficiency.
