UPSC CDS 2023 Notification Out: Check Application Form, Exam Date, Eligibility and Other Details Here
UPSC CDS 2023: Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) CDS is inviting applications for the examination for the Indian Military Academy, Indian Navel Academy, Air Force Academy, and Officers training academy. According to the official Notification released by UPSC CDS, there are total 341 vacancies.
The candidates can withdraw their application for the Examination and the detailed instructions in this regard are mentioned in Appendix – II B of this Examination Notice. This withdrawal window shall be available to the candidates, after 7 days of the closure of the application window of this examination and will remain open for 7 days from the date of opening. This withdrawal window will run concurrently with the above correction window i.e. from 18th Jan 2023 to 24th Jan 2023.
The eligible candidates shall be issued an e-Admit Card three weeks before the commencement of the examination. The e-Admit Card will be made available on the UPSC website for downloading by candidates. No e-Admit Card will be sent by post. All the applicants are required to provide a valid & active e-mail id while filling the online application form as the Commission may use electronic mode for contacting them.
Candidates should note that there will be a penalty (Negative Marking) for wrong answers marked by a candidate in the Objective Type Question Papers. candidates must use black ball pens only Pens with any other color are prohibited. Do not use Pencil or Ink pen. Candidates should note that any omission/mistake/discrepancy in encoding/filling of details in the OMR answer sheet, especially regarding Roll Number and Test Booklet Series Code, will render the answer sheet liable for rejection. Candidates are further advised to carefully read the “Special Instructions” in Appendix III of the Notification.
The Online Applications can be filled up to 10th January 2023 till 6:00 PM. Combined Defence Services Examination (I), 2023 will be conducted by the Union Public Service Commission on 16th April 2023.

A candidate must be unmarried and must either be:
For IMA—Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd January 2000 and not later than 1 st January 2005 only are eligible.
For Indian Naval Academy—Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd January 2000 and not later than 1st January 2005 only are eligible.
For Air Force Academy— 20 to 24 years as of 1st January 2024 i.e. born not earlier than 2nd January 2000 and not later than 1st January 2004 (Upper age limit for candidates holding valid and current Commercial Pilot License issued by DGCA (India) is relaxable up to 26 yrs. i.e. born not earlier than 2nd January 1998 and not later than 1st January 2004 only are eligible.
For the Officers’ Training Academy—(SSC Course for men) unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd January 1999 and not later than 1st January 2005 only are eligible.
For Officers’ Training Academy—(SSC Women Non-Technical Course) Unmarried women, issueless widows who have not remarried, and issueless divorcees (in possession of divorce documents) who have not remarried are eligible. They should have been born not earlier than 2nd January, 1999 and not later than 1 st January 2005.
For I.M.A. and Officers’ Training Academy, Chennai — Degree of a recognized University or equivalent.
For Indian Naval Academy— Degree in Engineering from a recognized University/Institution
For Air Force Academy—Degree of a recognized University (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) or Bachelor of Engineering.
Candidates (excepting Female/SC/ST candidates who are exempted from payment of fee) are required to pay a fee of Rs. 200/- (Rupees Two Hundred Only) either by depositing the money in any Branch of SBI by cash or by using Visa/Master/Rupay Credit/Debit Card/UPI Payment or by using internet banking facility of any Bank.
Candidates are required to apply online by using the website. It is essential for the applicant to register himself/herself first at the One Time Registration (OTR) platform, available on the Commission’s website, and then proceed for filling up the online application for the examination. OTR has to be registered only once in a lifetime. This can be done anytime throughout the year. If the candidate is already registered, he/she can proceed straightway for filling up the online application for the examination.
