UPSC Recruitment 2023: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has sought Applications from Retired/Retiring Instantaneous March-End 2023 Eligible for Engagement on Junior Accounts Officer (JAO) Level Consultant Positions on a Contractual Basis within the UPSC Office itself as per this UPSC Recruitment 2023 Notification issued.
According to the UPSC Recruitment 2023 Advertisement, there are 06 Vacancies to be filled up with Appointment of the Appropriately Suitable Candidates as Junior Accounts Officers. As is notified by the USPC Recruitment 2023 Notification, the Officers having retired/set to retire latest by 31.03.2023 from Central Government Services from any Ministry / Department / Attached / Subordinate Office are Eligible to be considered Eligible for Engagement as JAO Level Consultants from the Engagement Panel in the UPSC Office, may apply as per the Instructions expressed in the USPC Recruitment 2023 Notification issued for the purpose.
As per the UPSC Recruitment 2023 Notification, both Retired/Retiring Willing Officers with Eligibility having satisfied the Eligibility Criteria for the JAO Level Consultant Post may apply accordingly. The Last Date for such Eligible and Willing Candidates shall terminate on 1st April 2023 (01.04.2023).

Parent Pay/Basic Pay (Minus Pension Sum at the time of Retirement) Applicable to Him/Her at Retirement Time as per the Department of Expenditure Office Memorandum Dated 9th December 2020 explained in this UPSC Recruitment 2023 Notification issued.
The UPSC Recruitment 2023 reads that the Applicant should be aged as on 01.04.2023, Normal Closing Date of Application Submission.
Maximum Age Limit: Must not exceed 62 Years.
According to the UPSC Recruitment 2023 Notification issued, the Candidate
A.i) should have retired from the Rank of Junior Accounts Officer (JAO)/Assistant Accounts Officer (AAO) Or Equivalent from any Ministry/ Department/Its Attached/Subordinate Office of the Central Government/India Government; Or
ii) should have retired as Assistant Section Officer (ASO)/Senior Secretariat Assistant (SSA) (having successfully completed Training in Cash and Accounts conducted by the Institute of Secretariat and Management) Accounts Officer (JAO)/Assistant Accounts Officer (AAO) Or Equivalent from any Ministry/Department/Its Attached/Subordinate Office of the Central Government/India Government; Or
iii) should have retired as s Senior Accountant/Senior Auditor having rendered Minimum 10-Years’ Service as Senior Accountant or Senior Auditor from any Ministry/Department/Its Attached/Subordinate Office of the Central Government; And
B) should have gained Relevant Experience in Cash, Accounts and Budget Task/Work the
C) should have Working Knowledge of Computer Application in the Day-to-day functioning of the Office.
The Union Public Service Commission, subsequent to completing the Screening Process of the Applications received from the Candidates will carry out the Shortlisting Process in respect of the Potential Candidates to be summoned for appearing in the Selection Process.
Note: The Candidates selected as Junior Accounts Officers Level Consultants shall be appointed/engaged as a Consultants.
