UPSC Recruitment 2023: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has sought Online Applications from the Candidates meeting Eligibility for the Post Marketing Specialist or Economist in the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare under the Central Institute of Horticulture Nagaland, Government of India. As per the UPSC Recruitment 2023 Notification, there is 01 Vacancy earmarked for the Un-Reserved Category Candidates for Marketing Specialist or Economist Post under the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare.
Among Deemed to be Eligible Candidates f Marketing Specialist or Economist under the Pay Scale Level 11 and willing to be Applicants for the Position notified vide the UPSC Recruitment 2023 Advertisement, may proceed with completing the Online Recruitment Application Process following the Instructions explained therein. The Last Date for all the Intending Eligible Candidates remains the 16th February 2023 (16.02.2023).
According to the UPSC Recruitment 2023 Advertisement issued, the UPSC notified 01 Vacancy shall be filled up with Appointment on the Marketing Specialist or Economist Post under the Pay Scale Level 11 in the Central Institute of Horticulture Nagaland notified vide the UPSC Recruitment 2023 Advertisement issued for the purpose.
As per the UPSC Recruitment 2023 Notification issued with reference to filling up the Marketing Specialist or Economist Post in the Ministry of Labour and Employment among the Eligible Candidates Willing to be apply should complete the Online Recruitment Application (ORA) Process only up to 2nd February 2023 (02.02.2023).

Posting Location: Dimapur, Medziphema, Nagaland with Liability to serve anywhere in India or Abroad.
Post-Selection Appointment of the Officer shall be carried through under the UPSC Recruitment 2023 Notification.
Pay Scale: Level 11 (Rs. 67700-208700) of the Pay Matrix of 7th CPC.
1) The Un-Reserved Category Candidates should NOT exceed 40 Years as on 16.02.2023 the Normal Closing Date.
2) The Upper Age Limit remains Relaxable for Regularly Appointed Central Government/Union Territory Government Servants up to 05 Years as per the instructions issued by the Government of India from time to time.
3) For Age concession applicable to some other Categories of Applicants (Refer to the relevant Paragraphs of the ‘Instructions and Additional Information to Candidates for Recruitment by Selection’)
According to the UPSC Recruitment 2023 Notification the Eligibility comprising the Educational Qualification(s) and Experience essential for the Applicants in respect of Marketing Specialist or Economist are as follows:
Educational Qualifications: Master of Business Administration (Marketing)/Master of Business Economics from any Recognised University or Institution.
Experience: 05 (Five) Years’ Experience in the field of Marketing of Agriculture/Horticulture Produce or Supply Chain Management in the Central Government/State Government/Union Territory Administration/Public Sector Undertakings/Statutory/Autonomous Organisations/Universities or Recognised Research Institutions.
Note: The Qualifications, in respect of the Candidates otherwise well-qualified, are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission.
As mentioned in the UPSC Recruitment 2023 Notification explained, the Union Public Service Commission shall carry through the Recruitment Test Selection and Other Criteria:
Recruitment Methodology:
In the event of the Applications received in a large number from Applicants, the Union Public Service Commission will adopt the Shortlisting Criteria aimed at restricting the number of only Eligible Candidates to be called in for the Interview to a Reasonable Number by Any or More of the Methodologies as mentioned hereunder:
a) “On the basis of Desirable Qualification (DQ) or any one or all of the Desirable Qualifications (DQs) if more than one Desirable Qualification is prescribed”.
b) Based on Higher Educational Qualifications than the Minimum prescribed in the UPSC Recruitment 2023 Notification.
c) On the basis of Higher Experience in the relevant field than the Minimum prescribed in the USPC Recruitment 2023 Advertisement.
d) By reckoning the Prior Professional Work-Experience before or Post-acquiring Essential Qualifications of the Candidate Applicants.
e) By invoking the Prior Work Experience even in cases where there is No Experience mentioned Either as Essential Qualification (EQ) Or as Desirable Qualification (DQ).
f) By holding a Recruitment Test (RT).
Note-II: Important Points:
Viva-voce/Personality Test weighs Total 100 Marks explained as hereunder:
i) The Category-wise Minimum Level of Suitability in the Interviews (100 Marks), irrespective of whether the Selection is conducted only through Interview or by holding a Recruitment Test (RT) to be followed by the Interview, shall remain as hereunder:
a) Un-Reserved Minimum Qualifying 50 Marks to be secured out of Aggregate 100 Marks
b) Economically Weaker Sections 50 Marks
c) Other Backward Community: 45 Marks
d) Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Caste/Persons with Benchmark Disability/ies (PwBD/s): 40 Marks.
ii) In cases where Selection is carried through by Recruitment Test (RT) followed by the Personal Interview, the Candidate will have to attain the Minimum Level of Suitability in their respective Categories in the course of the Interview Stage.
a) The Candidates shall need to pay an Application Fee of Rs. 25.00 (Rupees Twenty-five only) only either by remitting the Money in any Branch of the State Bank of India in Cash or by using the Net-banking Facility of the State Bank of India or by using Visa/Master Credit/Debit Card.
b) Reserved Community (SC/ST/PwBDs) and Women Candidates under any Community remain Exempted from paying the Application Fee.
i) Eligible and Willing Candidates should visit the USPC ORA Website for completing the Online Application Process.
ii) Carefully Read the Online Application/Registration Instructions available on the UPSC ORA Portal.
iii) Initiate the Online Application Process as per the Instructions on the Online Registration Application Portal.
iv) Scan Signature and the Most-recent Passport-size Photograph for uploading with Online Registered Application (ORA).
v) Ready Self-attested Documents to be uploaded UPSC Online Registration of Application.
vi) Remit the Application Fee Online through Payment Gateway Debit/Credit Card/Net Banking, etc.
