UPSC Recruitment 2023: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has invited Online Applications from Candidates Eligible for the Marketing Specialist or Economist Post in the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Central Institute of Horticulture Nagaland, Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Government of India.  As per the UPSC Recruitment 2023 Advertisement, There is only 01 vacancy.

As per the UPSC Recruitment 2023 Notification,  Marketing Specialist or Economist Post shall be filled under Pay Scale Level 11 (Rs. 67700-208700) of the Pay Matrix of the 7th CPC.

As per the UPSC Recruitment 2023 Advertisement, applicants may complete the Online Recruitment Application Process within the Timeline.  The Last Date for the Willing Candidates to complete the Online Recruitment Application Process is 16th February 2023 (16.02.2023).

Note I: The Candidate must ensure that they fill the ORA with the Correct individual Qualifications and Experience are mentioned in the relevant Field over and above the Minimum Qualifications.

According the UPSC Recruitment 2023 Advertisement, 01 Post is earmarked for General Merit Candidate.

Post Nomenclature: Marketing Specialist or Economist

Vacancy: 01 No (Earmarked for General Merit Candidates)

Post Classification: General Central Service, Group ‘A’, Gazetted, Non-Ministerial

Employment nature: The Post is Permanent

Posting Location: Ministerial Head Quarter, Dimapur, Medziphema, Nagaland with liability to serve anywhere in India or Abroad.

Pay Scale under UPSC Recruitment 2023:

Pay Scale: Level 11 (Rs. 67700-208700) in the Pay Matrix

In the light of the UPSC Recruitment 2023 Advertisement, issued, the Officer shall be appointed under the Pay Scale mentioned hereinabove.

Maximum Age Limit under UPSC Recruitment 2023:

As per the UPSC Recruitment 2023 Notification, the Un-Reserved Category should be aged Maximumexplained hereunder:

1) The Un-Reserved Category Candidates (as on the Closing Date 16.02.2023) should not exceed 40 Years.

2) The Upper Age Limit remains Relaxable for Regularly Appointed Central Government/Union Territory Government Servants up to 05 Years as per the instructions issued by the Government of India from time to time.

3) For concession in Age applicable to some other Categories of Applicants (Relevant Paragraphs of the ‘Instructions and Additional Information to Candidates for Recruitment by Selection’ may be read in the UPSC Recruitment 2023).

Eligibility for the UPSC Recruitment 2023:

As per the UPSC Recruitment 2023 Notification, the Eligibility comprising the Educational Qualification(s) and Experience essential for the Applicants is as follows:

A) Educational Qualification:

Master of Business Administration (Marketing) or Master of Business Economics from a recognized University or Institution.

B) Experience:

05 years’ Experience in Marketing of Agriculture/Horticulture Produces or Supply Chain Management in the Central Government/State Government/Union Territory Administration/Public Sector Undertakings/Statutory/Autonomous Organisations/Universities/Recognised Research Institutions.

Important Note: The Educational Qualifications (prescribed under the UPSC Recruitment 2023 Advertisement with reference to the Ministry of Home Affairs) remain relaxable at the UPSC’s discretion for reasons to be recorded in writing to the Candidates otherwise well-qualified.

Selection Process for UPSC Recruitment 2023:

The Union Public Service Commission shall carry out the Recruitment Test Selection and Other Criteria according to the UPSC Recruitment 2023 Notification explained hereunder:

Recruitment Methodology for UPSC Recruitment 2023:

In the event of the Applications received in large number from the Applicants, the Union Public Service Commission will adopt the Shortlisting Criteria for restricting the number of Eligible Candidates to be summoned for the Interviews to a Reasonable Number by any or more of the Methodologies  explained hereunder:

a) “On the basis of Desirable Qualification (DQ)/any one or all of the Desirable Qualifications (DQs), if more than one Desirable Qualification is prescribed”.

b) On the basis of Higher Educational Qualifications than the Minimum prescribed in the UPSC Recruitment 2023 Notification.

c) Based on Higher Experience in the relevant field than the Minimum prescribed in the UPSC Recruitment 2023

d) By reckoning the Prior Professional Work-Experience before or Post-acquiring Essential Qualifications (EQs) of the Applicants.

e) By invoking the Prior Work Experience even in cases where there is No Experience mentioned Either as Essential Qualification (EQ)/as Desirable Qualification (DQ).

f) By conducting a Recruitment Test (RT).

Note-II: Important Points:

Viva-voce/Personality Test weighs Total 100 Marks explained as hereunder:

i) The Category-wise Minimum Level of Suitability in the Interviews (100 Marks), irrespective of whether the Selection is conducted only by way of Interview/by holding a Recruitment Test (RT) to be followed by the Interview, shall remain as has been explained hereunder:

a) Un-Reserved Candidates to secure Minimum Qualifying 50 Marks out of Aggregate 100 Marks;

b) Economically Weaker Section: 50 Marks;

c) Other Backward Community: 45 Marks;

d) Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Caste/Persons with Benchmark Disability/ies (PwBD/s): 40 Marks;

ii) In cases where Selection is carried out by the Recruitment Test (RT) followed by the Personal Interview, the Candidate will have to attain the Minimum Level of Suitability in their respective Categories in the course of the Interview Stage.

Application Fee for UPSC Recruitment 2023:

a) The Candidates shall need to pay an Application Fee of Rs. 25.00 (Rupees Twenty-five only) only either by remitting the Money in any Branch of the State Bank of India through Cash/by using the Net-banking Facility of the State Bank of India by using Visa/Master Credit/Debit Card.

b) Reserved Community (SC/ST/PwBDs) and Women Candidates under any Community remain Exempted from paying the Application Fee.

How to Apply for UPSC Recruitment 2023:

The Eligible and Willing Candidates should

i) visit the USPC ORA Website for completing the Online Application Process involving uploading Scanned Documents and Application Fee;

ii) carefully read the Online Application/Registration Instructions available on the UPSC ORA Portal;

iii) initiate the Online Application Process as per the Instructions on the Online Registration Application Portal;

iv) scan Signature and the Most-recent Passport-size Photograph for uploading with Online Registered Application (ORA);

v) upload Self-attested Documents on the UPSC Online Registration of Application (ORA);

vi) remit the Online Application Fee.
