Overview:
This position is responsible for supporting the content management needs of one or more communities within the firm, across various knowledge tools and platforms. The incumbent is fully versed in the policies, procedures, processes, technology and related systems that comprise the firm’s content management infrastructure.
Specific responsibilities include maintaining the quality and relevancy of content included within the firm’s knowledge infrastructure. The role assists in the operational processes associated with the development, management and execution of a variety of projects pertaining to core content management repositories and web sites. This role is also responsible for content management for specific types of content used by a community – web or technical. This may include transforming technical content, go-to-market content, and/or other content relevant to the community into searchable, hyperlinked, and otherwise navigable pages within our firm’s relevant publishing platforms. The role is expected to manage complex content management projects and act as the point of contact for community stakeholders.
Role and Responsibility:
- Identifies problems and issues, troubleshoots and develops solutions, and manages customer interactions and expectations. Understands when exceptional circumstances require escalation of issues.
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities across several communities and resolve conflicting priorities.
- May act as a project coordinator for midsize projects, coordinating the workflow between Producers directly and / or virtually to deliver project goals. Required to demonstrate good understanding and application of project management approaches.
- Highly skilled in using web-publishing and formatting tools and providing training / guidance to others in the use of these tools.
- Responsible for identifying leading practices in content presentation, developing guidelines and consistently applying these in practice to improve the consistency and usability of our knowledge infrastructure.
- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) are required.
- Ability to facilitate an effective group discussion / conduct technical training for junior team members.
- Good project coordination and time management skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently, adapt to changing priorities and work in a team environment.
- Hands on experience with production technologies such as HTML, HTML5, XML, JavaScript, JQuery and CSS is required.
- Experience of working on Microsoft SharePoint/O365 Modern view or similar content management systems is required.
- Knowledge on SharePoint Framework (SPFx) development, Power Automate, PowerApps, and Microsoft Teams integration
- Experience developing PowerApps Model driven and Canvas Apps; Power Apps gallery and other tools; PowerApps formulas and development methods
- Knowledge of PowerBI integration with SharePoint list
- Knowledge on customizing default SharePoint layout using web technologies (HTML, CSS, JS, JQuery)
- Strong understanding of UX and Design Thinking practices
- Knowledge of Photoshop and Dreamweaver is required.
- Strong understanding of the relevant publishing technologies and knowledge infrastructure elements.
- Must perform with a high degree of accuracy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good understanding of content management principles.
- Works independently with only periodic updates to supervisor. Makes day-to-day and month-to-month decisions on project priorities with the ability to adjust to changes in priorities without supervisory approval.
Qualification & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent job experience is required
- 5+ years relevant work experience
