Vigilance Raid on Addl. Commissioner CT and GST; Detects 6 Luxury Vehicles and Assets Worth Crores Odisha Vigilance conducted raids on the homes of Piyush Kanta Pani, additional commissioner of Commercial Tax & GST (Cuttack), on suspicion that he had amassed disproportionate assets, On Monday. They discovered assets worth crores and six high-end vehicles. Six locations connected to Pani, including his home and workplace, reportedly underwent simultaneous raids. Teams made up of five DSPs, 11 inspectors, and other staff members carried out the searches in accordance with search warrants that Special Judge Vigilance, Cuttack, had issued. The investigation teams have uncovered shocking real estate belonging to the GST official that is worth many crores of rupees.

According to recorded sale deeds, 11 properties in a desirable part of Bhubaneswar are valued (roughly) Rs 3.7 crore. Suspected undervaluation at registration; true worth might be higher. To confirm this, a full investigation is being conducted.
