Upper Age Limit for WBSPC Recruitment 2023:

The WBSPC Recruitment 2023 Official Notification mandates the Maximum Age Limit for the General Category Candidate as on 01.01.2023, as follows:

Age Limit: Must not exceed 55 Years.

As per the WBPSC Recruitment 2023 Official Notification, Eligible Candidate should have in possession following Qualifications:

A) A 1st/First Class Post-Graduate Degree or 2nd/Second Class Post-Graduate Degree with a First Class Bachelor’s Degree in Horticulture from the Government of India Recognized University/ Institute;

B) Adequate Administrative Experience in Horticulture with Proven Management and Administrative Ability;

C) Knowledge of Bengali Spoken and Written.

Nota Bene: Desirable and Essential Proficiency: The Candidate must

i) be a Bona fide Citizen of India;

ii) have the Ability to Read, Write and Speak in Bengali (not required for those Candidates whose Mother-tongue is Nepali);

iii) have Sound Health and Good Character and suitability in all respects for Appointment into the West Bengal State Government Service.

Selection Criteria vide the WBPSC Recruitment 2023:

The West Bengal Public Service Commission shall carry through the Selection Process for the Post Director of Horticulture through Stage 01: Screening Test; Stage 02: Interview as per the WBPSC Recruitment 2023 Advertisement.

Candidates’ Marks obtained in Screening Test will not be considered for counting towards preparing Merit List for recommendation. The Marks obtained in the Screening Test will only be considered for selection of the Candidates for Interviews for the purpose of restricting the number of Candidates to be called in for Interviews.
