Who is not eligible to file ITR-2 for FY 2021-22?
Income Tax Return Filing Due date is approaching for the F.Y 2021-22. The last date to file the ITR for the F.Y 2021-22 (A.Y 2022-23) is 31st July 2022. It is not necessary for everyone to file the ITR, Only those Assessee who are crossing the threshold limit are required to do so.
Depending on the nature of one’s earnings, one must select the most appropriate ITR form among such forms made available by the income tax department.
Below is the list of cases where ITR-2 cannot be filed. Let see who is not eligible to file ITR-2:
ITR-2 cannot be filed by any individual or HUF, whose total income for the year includes income from profit and gains from business or profession, and also who has income in the nature of:- Interest
- Salary
- Bonus
- Commission or remuneration, by whatever name called, due to, or received by him from a partnership firm.
