29 India-Based CA And Their Families Stuck in Georgia as Tensions Between Israel and Iran Escalate

As the tensions between Iran and Israel escalate, there have been major disruptions in air traffic, and due to this, a total of 29 CA from Rajasthan, along with their families are stuck in Georgia, as their flight that was scheduled to depart from Georgia to India on 13 June has been cancelled in accordance with the ongoing situation. The president of the Rajasthan Tax Consultant Association has urged the Indian government to ensure a safe return of the families stuck in Georgia.

Rajasthan Tax Consultant Association had organised a Residential Refresher Course and 65 people (CAs and their families) had arrived in Georgia to participate in the programme. Out of these, 60 are from Jaipur, 3 from Jaisalmer, and 2 from Kota.

The flight was scheduled to arrive in Jaipur on June 14 at 04:45 AM, but due to warlike like situations it was cancelled and now the stuck families await to return back home safely and meet their loved ones who are also anxiously waiting for the arrival of their family members.

One Chartered Accountant expressed deep concern over the situation, calling it distressing. While he confirmed that the group is currently safe, he noted that their families in India are growing increasingly anxious about their safety and timely return.

In an urgent appeal, the group reached out via social media platform X, tagging Prime Minister Narendra Modi, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, and the Indian Embassy in Georgia, requesting immediate assistance for a safe evacuation
