Karnataka Taxpayers Associaton [KTA] has released a press note wherein it was stated that the Ministry of Finance [MOF] has spent Rs 4242 on New Income Tax Portal 2.0 that crashed within an hour. The Government has created a complicated situation by spending taxpayers’ money.

Further, the organization added that Infosys has earlier failed in created GST Portal for which Rs 1380 Crores were paid to the company. Thill date many changes are required in GST Portal and again the contract was given to Infosys.

Please also note that the Old Income Tax Portal was working perfectly fine and there was no need for the introduction of the new portal which is much difficult and complicated. A few days ago a 998 Page long guidelines were released to file Income Tax Return on New Income Tax portal. Just think how complicated the new Portal is.

In the end, the Associaton has demanded rollback of the old portal which was user-friendly and easy for Taxpayers.
