ICAI finds 13 Chartered Accountants Guilty for Professional Misconduct [Read Order]

The Disciplinary Committee of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India [ICAI] has found 13 Chartered Accountants Guity for Professional Misconduct.

Names of these Chartered Accountants are:

  • CA. K.V.Shankaran,
  • CA Haresh Ramji Joshi,
  • CA Nitin Madhusudanji Mantri,
  • CA. Naresh Batra,
  • CA. S. Shankar,
  • CA. Kamal Nayan Singhal,
  • CA. Sanjay Nathala Shah,
  • CA. Avinash Lalwani,
  • CA. Anugrah Srivastava,
  • CA. Ankit Daga,
  • CA. Suresh Kumar Goklani,
  • CA. Sanjay Kumar,
  • CA. Kishore Purushottam Joshi

The Disciplinary Committee ordered that the 12 CA’s name be removed from the register of members, as well as a fine. However keeping in mind that some were only technical defaults, that did not harm anyone, the Committee was lenient wherever required. Also in one of the case the Committee was lenient because of health condition of the guilty.
