PAN Details Allegedly used for Fintech Loan Fraud of Bollywood Actress; Check for Details

Actress Sunny Leone has claimed to be the latest victim of identity theft in a spate of alleged loan frauds revealed on social media this month on the fintech website Dhani Stocks Limited.

Leone tweeted on Thursday, “This just occurred to me. INSANE. Some idiot used my Pan to get a  Rs. 2000  loan and FCK’d my CIBIL score (SIC),” she said, referring to her credit score.

In her tweet, the Bollywood actress also called out Indiabulls Securities Limited (Dhani Stocks was previously Indiabulls Securities) and Indiabulls Home Loans, stating that they had done “nothing” to help fix the problem.

Dhani, which provides services such as credit for necessary purchases like as groceries, stock broking, and a credit card with a credit limit of Rs 5 lakh, is still owned by the Indiabulls Group. Dhani also runs an online store that sells anything from medicine to stationery.

Dhani’s communication executive, Prakhar Khandelwal, was contacted by ThePrint through email to inquire whether a technical error was causing loans to be accepted even when the PAN appeared to be incorrect, and whether Leone’s claim about her identity being used to secure a Dhani loan was true. When their response is received, the storey will be updated.

Leone isn’t the only one who has suffered.

Leone isn’t the only one who has been the victim of suspected identity theft and loan fraud while using Dhani services. Several Twitter users in India have complained this month that their personal information was taken without their permission to apply for loans on Dhani.
