What documents are required to file ITR 1 Sahaj Form?

ITR 1 Sahaj Form is for individuals that have income up to Rs.50 lakh lakhs. For filing the Income Tax Returns documents need to be collected and to be consolidated so that all the required documents can be sent in one go-to Chartered Accountant or Tax Consultant who is going to File the Income Tax Return. The List of documents required to file ITR-1 is given below.

Documents Required to File ITR-1 (Sahaj Form):

  • Form 16.
  • Salary slips.
  • Receipt for house rent.
  • Interest Certificates from the Post offices and Banks.
  • Form 16A/16B/16C.
  • Form 26AS.
  • premium receipts for investment payments.
  • Deduction under the Section 80 D to 80 U.
  • Statement from the NBFC or the Bank on the Home Loan.
  • Capital Gains.

ITRs, on the other hand, are annexure-free forms, which means you don’t have to include any supporting documentation (such as proof of investment or TDS certificates) with your return (whether filed manually or electronically). However, you should retain these documents on hand in case they are required to be shown to tax authorities in the future, such as during an assessment or an investigation.
