ICAI Commenced Registration for Online Home-Based Practical Training Assessment

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India(ICAI) has announced commencement of Registration for Online Home-Based Practical Training Assessment.

In a Announcement ICAI Stated, “The next practical training assessment is being conducted online on October 15-16, 2022. The students who have completed their 1st/ 2nd year of practical training during October 1, 2021 – August 31, 2022 are eligible to appear in this test.”

Students who have taken the practical training test before (once or twice) and want to improve their performance or grade can retake it by paying a fee of Rs. 200, providing they meet the requirements for taking the test as outlined above.

In this scenario, just the top grade will be taken into account for the virtual certificate. Similar to this, students who registered for an earlier test but were unable to attend for some reason can register for this test for Rs. 200 if they meet the requirements.

The registration for the forthcoming test will open on September 22, 2022 (Thursday) at 10.00 am and close on September 28, 2022 (Wednesday).

Students may register for the test during the above mentioned time period through the registration portal https://pttest.icai.org/.

Depending on the amount of applicants, students will be given any test date and time outside of the previously listed test dates. On October 10, 2022, students will access the portal to access their admit card, which contains information about their test date, time, and link for registering for the exam. They can check the site to find out more information or they will receive an email to the registered email address informing them of the Mock Test.

Please note that this is the last attempt for students who have completed their second year of practical training during October-December, 2021. However, if a student has completed first year of training during October-December, 2021, this is the last attempt for Level 1 test and the student can appear for Level 2 test on the next occasion.

Students can get in touch with the Help Desk listed on the portal with any problems or questions regarding registration and appearance. To avoid last-minute headaches, students are recommended to register well in advance of the test.
