Income Tax Recruitment 2022: Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, West Bengal and Sikkim has invited applications from qualified candidates for various positions including Income Tax Inspector, Tax Assistant, and Multi-Tasking Staff. The total No. of vacancies for these Posts are 24. Interested candidates should review the job description and apply using the link provided in the official notification. Candidates should have a Degree from a recognized university or equivalent from a recognized University/ Institute will be given preference.

Applications must be submitted in the format given and addressed to the Joint Commissioner of Income Tax, Headquarters (Personnel & Establishment), pI Floor, Room No. 14, Aayakar Shawan, P-7, Chowringhee Square, Kolkata-700069 by post / by hand so as to reach the
office on or before 02.12.2022 (up to 6 p.m.). The envelope containing the application should also be superscripted as follows:
“APPLICATION FOR THE POST(S) OF ……………………………………………… UNDER MERITORIOUS SPORTS PERSONS’ QUOTA”. Candidates are requested to apply for the job post before the deadline. No application shall be entertained after the stipulated time/ date. Incomplete applications and applications received after the specified time/ date shall be REJECTED.

The Last Date for submission of the application earlier was on or before28.11.2022 (up to 6 p.m.). The Last Date has been extended and now the application duly signed and completed in all respects shall reach the office of the undersigned on or before 02.12.2022 (up to 6 p.m.).

Qualification for Income Tax Recruitment 2022:

For Income Tax Inspector:

Candidates should have a Degree from a recognized university or equivalent from a recognized University/ Institute will be given preference.

For Tax Assistant:

For Multi-Tasking Staff:

Matriculation or equivalent pass from a recognized Board Council

Age Limit for Income Tax Recruitment 2022:

The age limit of the candidates should be between 18 to 30 years and Below 65 years respectively as on 18.04.2022. Departmental candidates with three years of continuous service in the Central Government can apply up to the age of 40 years (45 years for SC/ST candidates).

Salary Details for Income Tax Recruitment 2022:

Inspector of Income Tax in Pay Level 7 of the pay matrix (as per 7th CPC) corresponding to pre-revised Grade Pay of Rs.4600 in PB-2 of Rs.9300-34800 of 6 CPC.

Tax Assistant in Pay Level 4 of the pay matrix (as per 7th CPC) corresponding to pre-revised Grade Pay of Rs.2400 in PB-I of Rs.5200-20200 of 6 CPC.

Multi-Tasking Staff in Pay Levell of the pay matrix (as per 7th CPC) corresponding to pre-revised Grade Pay of Rs. 1800 in PB-I of Rs.5200-20200 of 6 CPC.
