Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2022: The Office of Commander, Indian Coast Guard, Coast Guard Region (East) has invited Applications from the Candidates fulfilling the Eligibility for the Notified Posts. Among the Candidates, who qualify the Mandatory Eligibility specific to the Posts are Eligible to apply and accordingly may submit their respective Candidatures as per the Instructions explained in the subsequent Part of this Information Bulletin. There are 26 Vacancies to be filled against the Trades-mate Positions in the respective Trade.
Among the Candidates, those who intend to apply for the Trades, may apply up to 29.11.2022, which is the Last Date according to the Instructions and Requirements explained here and also in the Appended Recruitment Notification.
Mode of Applying: 29th November 2022 (29.11.2022) is the Last Date for Eligible Candidates for dispatching their respective Applications, which should be Receivable by the Office of the Commander, Chennai. The Duly filled Applications attached with all the Requisite Documents should be sent to the following address by Ordinary Post only within 45 Days from the Date of Publication of the Advertisement in the Employment News, i.e., the Last Date is 29.11.2022.
The Candidates should contain all the required Documents in their respective Envelopes, which should be super-scribed in BOLD Letters with the Notation “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF __________________________” and also the Category for which they are applying; Un-Reserved/ EWS/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/SC/ST. Applications without these Notations will be Summarily Rejected.

Selection Methodology: i) Scrutiny of the Applications received from the Candidates; followed by ii) Document Verification and subsequently Trade Entrance Examination (TEE) containing 80 Multiple Choice Questions of Objective-Type for 80 Marks.
The Trade Entrance Examination shall comprise 04 Sections: i) General Knowledge (GK), ii) Mathematics (Maths), iii) General English (GE) and iv) MCQs Relevant Trade for Store Keeping and Technical Tradesmen Cadre. iv) Mental Ability Test for Multi-Tasking Staff Cadre.
Selection Process: The Selection into all the Posts shall be conducted through A Written Examination for 80 Marks. The General Merit Candidates shall need to obtain Minimum Qualifying 50% Marks. Reserved Community Candidates will have to score 45% Marks in the Written Examination and Subsequent Merit List preparation.

Pay Levels:
i) For Posts against 01 up to 07: Pay Scale Level-02 in the Pay Matrix
ii) For Posts against 08 to 16: Pay Scale Level-01 in the Pay Matrix
Age Limits: General Merit Candidates: Minimum 18 Years and Maximum 27 Years. Relaxation in the Upper Age Limits for Reserved Community Candidates. The Upper Age Limits are also Relaxable up to 40 Years’ Age for Central Government Servants, who have completed/rendered Minimum 03 Years’ Continuous Service under the Government.
Post-specific Educational Qualifications: i) Matriculation from any Board of Education/Council duly recognized by the Central Government/ State Governments Concerned. Or
ii) Passed ITI in Relevant Trade from any Recognised Institute.
Experience: i) 02/03-Years’ Experience in the Relevant Trade
ii) 04 Years’ Experience in the Trade for which No Training received/is available in the Industrial Training Institutes or other Recognised Institutions.
Desirable: Should Qualify the Trade Entrance Examination (wherever Required).

Eligibility Criteria: i) Educational Qualification: Passed Intermediate (XIIth) from any State Board/Inter-College/Pre-University Duly Recognized by the Central Government/State Government.
ii) Experience: 01 (One) Year Experience in handling Stores from any Recognised Firm or Central Government/State Government Organisation/ Government Public Sector Undertakings.

Document (Check List) for Submission:
a) Valid Photo Identity Proof.
b) Matriculation or Equivalent Marksheet and Certificate.
c) Intermediate (12th)/Under-Graduation/Post-Graduation/Diploma Marksheet and Certificate as per the Essential Eligibility.
d) Latest Category Certificate for Reserved Category Candidates.
e) Experience Certificate
f) No Objection Certificate (NOC) issued by the Employer for presently serving in any Government Organisation.
g) Two Latest Passport-size Color Photographs.
h) Applicants should enclose a Separate Blank Envelope with One Rs. 50.00 Postal Stamp (pasted on the Envelope) addressed to themselves with the Application being dispatched through Ordinary Post/Registered Post with Acknowledgment Due/Speed Post.
Eligible Candidates should fill in the Application Form either in English or Hindi as per the Prescribed Specimen Application Format given at Annexure-I. The Application with Duly Affixed Self-attested Color Photograph should be accompanied by duly Self-attested with Name and Date Photocopies of the Documents Listed. No Original Certificates should be sent together with the Application Form:
