BPSC 68th Mains 2023: The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has moved towards the second phase of examinations, known as the Mains exam for the BPSC 68th Recruitment 2023. The BPSC recently declared the result for the BPSC 68th recruitment 2023 prelims (phase 1) examination on March 27, 2023. The BPSC will conduct the BPSC 68th Mains 2023 Mains examination on May 12, 2023. Candidates clearing the mains examination will be eligible for the interview (final) round of the BPSC 68th recruitment 2023. Candidates will be chosen based on their performance in the preliminary exams, main exams, and interviews while the merit list will be prepared based on marks scored in Mains and Interview.

A total of 2,58,036 candidates appeared for the BPSC 68th Prelims examination, out of which 3,590 candidates have qualified for the next round i.e. the Mains Examination. The BPSC Mains examination is the most important phase of the BPSC Recruitment examination as this phase has the highest weightage of marks. This phase accounts for 1100 marks, but only 900 marks are considered for merit list preparation as the General Hindi and optional subject exam (200 marks) are qualifying in nature.

The BPSC has revised the exam pattern for the BPSC 68th recruitment 2023. Now the BPSC Mains exam is being conducted for 5 papers after the addition of the essay paper. All papers are descriptive in nature. The Optional subject paper and Hindi language paper are qualifying in nature, which are of 100 marks each. The essay exam paper of 300 marks has been recently added to the BPSC’s Mains examination syllabus. Candidates must know about the exam pattern and exam syllabus in order to crack this competitive exam. The BPSC published the roll numbers of the selected candidates in the prelims examination on March 27, 2023. Exam Pattern for BPSC 68th Mains 2023

The BPSC 68th recruitment 2023 will be held for 5 papers, out of which, two papers will be qualifying in nature. Aspirants will have to score at least 30% in both these qualifying papers of Hindi and the optional subject. If a Candidate fails to score a minimum of 30% in any of these, then he/she will not be considered for further phases. The Commission will prepare the final merit list based on the marks scored in the remaining three papers (900 marks) + interview (120 marks).
