As per the IIT Bombay Recruitment 2023 official notification, there are 14 vacancies for the post of Technical Superintendent.
Candidates applying for the above-mentioned job post should have M.Sc in Chemistry with one year of experience in Instrumentation and Teaching Laboratories. Candidates should have experience in the operation of NMR and EPR spectrometers and other analytical instruments. Moreover, applicants should be able to train students in basic operations of NMR & ERP spectrometers and other analytical instruments. AND Candidates should have B.Tech/ B.E./ M.Sc. or equivalent degree with relevant experience of one year after the qualifying degree. OR Bachelor’s degree (other than B.Tech. / B.E.) with relevant experience of four years after the qualifying degree.
The degree should be in any of the following :
Computer Engineering/ Electronics Engineering/ Electronics & Telecommunication/ Computer Science/ IT/ Computer Applications/ Computer Management
Candidates should have administered Linux/Windows/MacOS-based computers. Candidates should know how to set up and manage a network of computers. Candidates should have experience setting up and administering mail/proxy/DNS/web (http, https) services on Linux-based servers. Candidates should have 1+ years of GNU/Linux system administration and shell scripting. Candidates should have Basic knowledge of network and server troubleshooting. Candidates should have Basic knowledge of Linux-based virtualization technologies.
