UPSC Recruitment 2023: Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is seeking eligible applicants for Legal Officer, Scientific Officer (Chemical), Deputy Architect, Scientist ‘B’ (Ballistics), Scientist ‘B’ (Documents), Junior Scientific Officer, Assistant Director, Director General and Administrative Officer in several departments. According to the official notification of UPSC Recruitment 2023, there are 71 openings for the above-mentioned posts. The maximum age restriction is up to 58 years to apply for the given post. The chosen applicants will be paid a monthly salary up to Level 11 of the pay matrix as per the 7th CP. 

In accordance with the official notification of UPSC Recruitment 2023, the candidates will be selected on the basis of a Recruitment Test followed by an interview. Candidates will be UR/EWS-50 marks, OBC-45 marks, SC/ST/PwBD-40 marks, out of the total marks of the interview being 100. Interested and eligible candidates have to apply online through the official website on or before the last date. As mentioned in the official notification of UPSC Recruitment 2023, the application fee is Rs.25 and Female/SC/ST/Persons with Benchmark Disability candidates are exempted from payment of the fee. Qualification and Experience for UPSC Recruitment 2023:

According to the official notification of UPSC Recruitment 2023, the required qualification and experience are mentioned below-

For Legal Officer-

  • Degree in law from a recognized university.

Experience-

  • Three years experience in the field of Legal Practice.

Desirable-

  • Out of total experience, at least one year experience in Legal Practice in Aviation matters such as leasing of aircraft, liability regime, acquisition and merger of airlines.

For Scientific Officer (Chemical)-

  • Master’s Degree in Chemistry or Microbiology or Degree in Chemical Technology or Degree in Chemical Engineering from a recognized University or Institute.

Experience-

  • One year experience in an analytical or Chemical Testing Laboratory or Research & Development work or analysis of ores, Minerals, metals or Oil & Fuel and various Organic and Inorganic products or paint or polymer materials.

For Deputy Architect-

  • Possessing a Degree in Architecture from a recognized University or Institution.
  • Candidate should be registered as Architect with the Council of Architecture under the Architect Act 1972(20 of 1972).

For Scientist ‘B’ (Ballistics)-

  • Master’s degree in Physics or Mathematics or Applied Mathematics or Forensic Science with Physics or Mathematics as one of the subjects during all three years of a Bachelor of Science from a recognized University or Institute.

Experience-

  • Three years of experience in analytical methods and research therein in the field of Ballistics from a government-recognized organization or institution.

Desirable-

  • One year experience of working in forensic science laboratory under the Central or State Government/ Union Territory administration after obtaining the minimum prescribed educational qualification.

For Junior Scientific Officer (Toxicology)-

  • Masters’s Degree in Chemistry or Associateship diploma of the Institution of Chemist by examination* or Biochemistry or Pharmacology or Pharmacy or Forensic Science with Chemistry as one of the subjects during all three years of Bachelor of Science level from a recognized University.

Experience-

  • Three years experience in research and analytical work in the field of Toxicology in any Central and State Organization or recognized institute or university or forensic Science laboratory under the Central Government and State Government.

Desirable-

  • Experience working in a Forensic Science Laboratory.
