Post Name and Vacancies for SCI Recruitment 2023:

As stated in the official notification of SCI Recruitment 2023, there are 09 openings to be filled for the post of Nautical Faculty (Passenger Ship experience), Engineering Faculty, Radio Officer/ Faculty, Naval Architect and Academic Faculty (One each for Applied Maths, &Electronics).

Age Limit for SCI Recruitment 2023:

As per the official notification of SCI Recruitment 2023, the maximum age limit is below 65 years to apply for the specified posts.

Salary for SCI Recruitment 2023:

As mentioned in the official notification of SCI Recruitment 2023, the selected candidates for a full-time contract basis will be paid a monthly salary of Rs.135000, Visiting Faculty will be paid Rs.1200 per hour and Subject Matter Expert will be paid Rs.900 per hour.

Qualification and Experience for SCI Recruitment 2023:

According to the official notification of SCI Recruitment 2023, the required qualification and experience are mentioned below-

For Nautical Faculty Passenger Ship-

• Holding COC of Master Mariner (Foreign Going Ship) issued by DG Shipping.

Experience-

• Must have sailing experience on Passenger ships as a management officer for a total of 1 Year or more.

For Marine Engineering Faculty-

• Holding COC of Marine Engineer Officer Class I (Unlimited Horse Power) of a Foreign Going Ship by D.G. Shipping.

Experience-

• Must have sailing experience on merchant ships for a total experience of 7 or more Years as a chief engineer.

For Radio Officer/GMDSS Faculty-

• Holding COP Second Class/ General Class of Radio Officer issued by Ministry of Communications, New Delhi. Holding a valid GMDSS GOC Certificate (Indian) issued by the Ministry of Communications & Information Technology.

Experience-

• Must have sailing experience on merchant ships for 5 years or more as a Radio officer.

For Naval Architect-

• Graduate in Naval Arch from AICTE registered colleges.

For Academic Faculty-

• (Subject: Applied Maths & Electronics) Mandatory Master’s Degree in respective branch.

Experience-

• Must have teaching experience of 3 years or more as a Lecturer or Professor in respective subject.

Tenure for SCI Recruitment 2023:

As given in the official notification of SCI Recruitment 2023, the appointment is based on a contract and the selected candidates will be appointed for a period of 02 years. The place of posting will be MTI Powai.

Selection Process for SCI Recruitment 2023:

As per the official notification of SCI Recruitment 2023, the candidates will be selected on the basis of an interview. Shortlisted candidates will be called for Personal Interviews (physical) and the time and date of the interview will be intimated only to the shortlisted candidates through email. The interview will be held on physically at The Shipping Corporation of India Ltd. – Maritime Training Institute, 52-C, Adi Shankaracharya Marg, Powai, Mumbai – 400072. Candidates have to make their own arrangements for staying in Mumbai during the interview and no traveling allowances be paid.
