SCI Powai Recruitment 2023: Shipping Corporation of India (SCI) is inviting applications from eligible Indian candidates for the post of faculty in various departments on a contract basis and visiting basis. As per the SCI Recruitment 2023 official notification, there are 09 vacancies. The selected candidates will be appointed for a tenure of 02 years.
As per the SCI Recruitment 2023 official notification, selected candidates for the post of contract faculty will get a monthly salary of Rs. 135000 and the selected candidates as visiting faculty will get Rs. 1200 per hour. Candidates applying for the post of Visiting Faculty should be below the age of 72 years and the candidates applying for the post of Full-time contract faculty should be below the age of 70 years. Candidates should be physically and mentally fit to carry out the duties as required. Candidates will be selected through a personal interview. Interested and eligible candidates must send their duly filled application along with all relevant documents through a post at the address mentioned below on or before the last date. Mention below is the qualification required for SCI Recruitment 2023:
Nautical Faculty Passenger Ship
Candidates should have sailing experience on Passenger ships as a management officer for a total of 1 Year or more. Preference will be given to faculty with 2 Years of experience of teaching/training for Chief Mates, Masters COC courses, VICT/TOTA, AECS, TSTA and Simulator courses, such as ROC, ARPA, ECDIS, etc.
Marine Engineering Faculty
Candidates should have sailing experience on merchant ships for a total experience of 7 or more Years as a chief engineer. Preference will be given to faculty with experience of teaching/training for GME, Class-IV MEO, Class-I & II MEO COC courses and courses, such as LNG, TASCO, GASCO etc.
Radio Officer/GMDSS Faculty
Candidates should have sailing experience on merchant ships for 5 years or more as a Radio officer. Preference will be given to candidates with Indian COP II Class or ROGC & VICT/TOTA, TSTA
Naval Architect
Preference will be given to experience in Shipbuilding In addition VICT or TOTA Certification will be preferred.
Academic Faculty
Candidates should have teaching experience of 3 years or more as a Lecturer or Professor in their respective subject.
