Ministry of Finance appoints Shri Kamlesh Chandra Varshney and Shri Amarjeet Singh as Whole Time Members of SEBI
The Ministry of Finance has appointed Shri Kamlesh Chandra Varshney, IRS, Joint Secretary, Department of Revenue, Government of India and Shri Amarjeet Singh, Executive Director, as Whole-Time Members of SEBI, for a period of 3 years from the date of assumption of charge of the post, or until further orders, whichever is earlier via issuing Notification.
The Notification Stated as, “In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1)(d) and sub-section (4) of section 4 of the Securities and Exchange Board of India Act, 1992 (15 of 1992), read with rule 3 of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Terms and Conditions of Service of Chairman and Members) Rules, 1992, the Central Government hereby appoints Shri Amarjeet Singh, Executive Director, Securities and Exchange Board of India as Whole Time Member of the Securities and Exchange Board of India, for a period of three years from the date of assumption of charge of the post, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
