The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) is seeking candidates for the position of Director (Library and Information) on a Deputation basis in the Ministry of External Affairs’ Library and Information Cadre.

Eligibility for MEA Recruitment 2023:

Candidates applying for the MEA Recruitment 2023 must have the following eligibility.

• Candidate should have a Master’s Degree in Library Science or Library and Information Science from a recognised University or Institute;
• Applicant must have a 10 years of experience in a Library under the Central Government or State Government or autonomous or statutory organisation or public sector undertaking or University or recognised research or educational institution.

Desirable

• Candidate should have One year experience of in computerising library activities in a Library under the Central Government or State Government autonomous or statutory organisation or public sector undertaking or University or recognised research or educational institution; or
• Candidate should have one year experience of in Indexing, abstracting and retrieving documents or information using library management software, or
• Diploma in Computer Application from a recognised University or institute; or
• Certificate course of six months duration in one or two foreign languages other than English from a recognised University or Institute.

Tenure for MEA Recruitment 2023:

The official MEA Recruitment 2023 Notification states that the candidate will be appointed for a term of 05 years.

Age Limit for MEA Recruitment 2023:

The MEA Recruitment 2023 Official Notification states that a candidate may be no older than 56 years old for the aforementioned post.

Documents Required for MEA Recruitment 2023

The following is a list of the official documents that candidates must submit for the Ministry of External Affairs Recruitment 2023:

• Statement of Bio-data in the prescribed proforma (as per Annexure), in duplicate, duly signed and forwarded through proper channel.
• Attested copies of the CR dossiers for the years 2017-18 to 2021-22 (attested on each page by an officer not below the rank of Under Secretary).
• Vigilance Clearance Certificate.
• Integrity Certificate.
• A statement of major/minor penalty, if any, imposed on the officer during the last 10 years.
• Cadre Clearance Certificate.

As per the MEA Recruitment 2023 Notification, eligible and interested applicants need to submit their duly fill out application form along with their relevant documents and submit it to Deputy Secretary (Cadre) Room No. 4086, B Wing, Jawaharlal Nehru Bhawan Ministry of External Affairs within 02 month days from the release of notification. The Notification has been released on 09.10.2023.
