Dry Fruit Outlets raided by IT Officials in Bengaluru
Income Tax attacks have been ongoing throughout the state for several days. In the aftermath of tax evasion, an IT search was carried out in the early hours of Thursday on the homes of shop owners.
The Income Tax Department raided famous dry fruit shops and food production companies in the city on Thursday. Raids were also conducted at the residences of the proprietors of shops and manufacturing businesses.
According to sources, the raid was initiated by separate teams of IT officers in response to charges of tax cheating. Raids were carried out at Rajajinagar, Chickpet, and other districts of the city. IT officials came in more than ten vehicles to conduct raid.
Income Tax searches were carried out near Rajajinagar Industrial Estate and BVK Iyengar Road. The PS Agro Food LLP factory and the Manak Meva Dry Fruits store have been raided, and officials are verifying the documents.
IT recently searched contractors’ and jewellery owners’ homes and offices. The food business is now being targeted.
