Bhubaneswar Customs recovers 22 Kg of Cocaine worth Rs. 220 Crore

The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC)’s Chairman Shri Sanjay Kumar Agarwal has informed that Bhubaneswar Customs recovers 22 Kg of Cocaine worth Rs. 220 Crore in a newsletter issued.

He said in the newsletter, “On the anti-evasion side, officers of Bhubaneswar Customs recovered 22 Kg of Cocaine having a street value of about Rs. 220 Crore by rummaging a ship. Interestingly, the drug packets were concealed in the crane of the ship. The officers receive a pat on their back for their vigilance towards detecting illegal smuggling of drugs.”
