CA May 2024 exams set to be postponed Amid Elections?
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) is likely to postpone the Chartered Accountancy (CA) Foundation, Intermediate, and CA Final exams for May 2024 amid General Loksabha Elections 2024.
As per one of the ICAI announcements, the Examination Committee may reschedule the May 2024 CA Examination, if the dates of the General Election coincide with the present Examination Schedule. [Refer to the ICAI Announcement on the postponement of Exams]
However, there is high speculation on Twitter and distress among the students on postponing the CA Examination in May 2024. It is better for students to concentrate on studies till ICAI makes formal announcement.
For welfare of Students, another important decision of conducting CA Exams 3 times a year has been taken by the institute. As per the official Statement of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) dated 8th March 2024, CA Foundation and CA Intermediate Exams will be held 3 times in a year i.e, January, May/June, and September.
