What is MSME Form I?

MSME Form I is a half-yearly return that must be filed by specified companies that receive goods or services from micro or small enterprises and have outstanding payments for more than 45 days from the date of acceptance or the date of deemed acceptance of the goods/services.

The purpose of this form is to ensure that MSMEs are paid in a timely manner and to promote transparency in business transactions.

How to File MSME Form I?

The below-mentioned steps can be followed to file an MSME Form I:

• Step 1: Visit the official website, http://mca.gov.in
• Step 2: Log in using your MCA V3 Business User credentials
• Step 3: Navigate to:
  MCA Services > Company e-Filing > Compliance Services > MSME – Half-yearly return of Micro or Small Enterprise
• Step 4: Fill in the required information such as Name of the MSME vendor, PAN of the supplier, Amount due, Date from when the amount is due and Reasons for delay.
• Step 5: Upload and submit the signed form (you may need a valid Digital Signature Certificate (DSC)).
