BMS Welcomes Next-Gen GST Reforms: A Big Relief for the Common Man
The Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) has released a press statement welcoming the new GST reforms introduced by the Finance Ministry. These changes aim to lower the indirect tax burden on the common man by reducing GST slabs. There will be only two slabs: 5% and 18%. The indirect tax regime was heavily dependent on the day-to-day needs of the citizens. But now things have changed. The daily use items will now be taxed less, while the luxury and sin goods will be taxed at high rates.
The GST rates have been reduced on food, cement, healthcare, insurance, educational materials, agricultural tools, and electronics. These products are used daily by the common taxpayers and workers.

BMS has urged the manufacturers to pass on the benefits of lower taxes to the people by reducing prices. These reforms are a big step toward making the tax system fairer and people-friendly.
