GST Collections Reach Rs 1.96 Lakh Crore in October 2025, 4.6% Increase From Last Year
The Goods and Services Tax (GST) Collections have reached Rs 1.96 lakh crore in october, the highest in five months. This shows a 4.6% increase compared to the October collection last year. However, if we see the collection data over the past 52 months, the growth rate is slow, down from a 9.1% increase the month before. Even after this slowdown, October records the 10th straight month with collections above Rs 1.8 crore.
The Net GST collections grew by 0.6% to Rs 1.69 lakh crore, with domestic revenues remaining the same as last year. Customs duties increased by 2.5% to Rs 37,210 crore.
The Refunds also experienced a sharp rise in October, as the domestic refunds increased by 26.5% and customs refunds grew little, by 2%, reaching Rs 1.45 lakh crore, compared to Rs 1.42 lakh crore in October last year.
Comparing the GST growth of states during October 2025, states like Nagaland (46), Arunachal Pradesh (44), Karnataka (10), Telangana (10), etc., showed positive performance. Meanwhile, many other states like Delhi (-1), Rajasthan (-3), Kerala (-2), and Tripura (-6), etc, showed negative growth of GST revenue during October 2025.
