MCA Gives Relief on DPT-3 Filing Deadline After Data Centre Fire

The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) has announced a relaxation for companies filing Form DPT-3 (Return of Deposits) for the financial year ending 31 March 2026.

Companies are normally required to file Form DPT-3 by 30 June 2026. However, the Ministry has decided to give a temporary relief to the stakeholders on account of capacity enhancement and restoration work being undertaken at the MCA Data Centre following a fire incident on 5 June 2026.

As per General Circular No. 02/2026, companies can now file Form DPT-3 for FY 2025-26 till 31 July 2026 without additional fees. The extension has been provided to save the companies from adverse impact due to technical disruptions arising out of the data centre incident.

The circular has been issued with the approval of the competent authority.
