Overview:

American Express is hiring an experienced Project Analyst I (Audit and Compliance) at their Gurgaon location. The purpose of this role, Analyst, Process & Controls, is to support the CoDO team’s remit to comply with all operational, vendor management, and compliance related requirements. This role will work under the Manager, Process & Controls as part of the CoDO PMO team which serves as the program management arm of the Commercial Data Office team in Global Commercial Services.

Roles and Responsibilities:

The Ideal Candidate should be able to:

  • Support management in generation of reports and cross-team collaboration to satisfy SOC-1 audit processes for compliance assessment & validation of CoDO data sharing processes
  • Provide tactical support for third party life cycle management (TLM) processes including invoice review and payment approvals.
  • Provide support for targeted projects advised at improving the control environment, mitigating, and remediating risk.
  • Provide extensive support to partners through various compliance activities and ensure GCS is within threshold for AXP defined Control Metrics
  • Draft and maintain business level documentation detailing CoDO processes for sharing data internally to the CoDO team, externally to other enterprise teams in the organization, externally to clients, and with 3rd parties & strategic partners
  • Perform baseline analysis of CoDO processes for potential inefficiencies and review by process mgmt. controls lead.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  • Support cross-coordination between teams for implementation of CoDO process improvements.
  • Support execution of process-related risk assessments
  • Adhere to ad hoc compliance initiative SLAs.

Business Outcomes:

  • Maintain in good standing the data and services vendors used by GCS, demonstrating the Third-Party Lifecycle Management principles
  • Complete quarterly and annual reviews ahead of due dates, so that overall GCS compliance ratings are not impacted negatively
  • Support ongoing request intake and report fulfillment for SOC reports, as requested by clients and internal parties
  • Support GCS Data Strategy & Management team in the resolution of compliance matters, when expertise is needed

Past Experience

  • 2+ years of relevant experience in financial services, risk management, internal control, compliance reporting, vendor management, or closely related field
  • Knowledge of the control environment and principles of effective risk management, including knowledge of inherent, residual, and realized risk
  • Experience working in a large scale, data-focused organization that emphasizes compliance and controls.
