Bank holidays for the month of June released; Know how many days banks will be closed

The month of May is coming to an end. With the start of the new month, the RBI has announced the June Holiday List. In such a case, if you have any significant task linked to the bank in June, thoroughly review the complete list (June Bank Holiday List 2022). We are occasionally required to perform critical bank-related tasks. However, if that day happens to be a holiday, we will be in big danger.

To avoid this issue, the bank holiday list should be thoroughly verified at the start of the month. You will not have any problems after this.

Only Sundays and the second and fourth Saturdays are included in the RBI’s list of holidays. RBI also includes holidays according to the festivals of the states in its list of holidays. In the month of June, there are no festivities. To minimise any inconvenience, if you want to visit your bank for work, you should contact your local branch to confirm the bank holidays in June for your location. There were a total of 11 bank holidays in May. Banks in various places were closed on Buddha Purnima in May, including Agartala, Belapur, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Jammu, Kanpur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi, Raipur, Ranchi, Shimla, and Srinagar.

3rd June : Martyrdom Day of Shri Guru Arjun Dev Ji – (On this day there will be a holiday in Punjab only)

5th June : Sunday

11th June : Second Saturday

12th June : Sunday

14th June : First King/Saint Guru Kabir’s birth anniversary – Holiday will be in Odisha, Himachal Pradesh, Chandigarh, Haryana, Punjab

15th June : Raja Sankranti / YMA Day / Birthday of Guru Hargobind Ji – Holiday in Odisha, Mizoram, Jammu and Kashmir

19th June : Sunday

22nd June : Kharchi Puja – Holiday only in Tripura

25th June : Fourth Saturday

26th June : Sunday

30th June : Ramna Nee – Holiday only in Mizoram

Banks in several states will be closed for a total of 12 days

According to the RBI holiday list, banks have a total of 12 days off due to festivals and anniversaries in various states. It also includes Saturdays and Sundays on the second and fourth Saturdays and Sundays. At the same time, there aren’t many holidays this month in places like UP and Bihar.
