The arbitrator dismissed W.J. Towell's Rs 462-crore claim against Blue Star, ruling entirely in the company's favour.
Blue Star Gets Rs 462 Cr Relief

Blue Star Ltd has won a major arbitration case against Oman-based W.J. Towell & Co. LLC (WJT), with the arbitrator dismissing all claims made against the company.
The dispute stems from a shareholders’ agreement signed in 2015 to manage Blue Star Oman Electro Mechanical Company. WJT had initially sought OMR 10.32 million (around Rs 223.6 crore) along with 7% interest. In October 2024, it increased its claim to OMR 21.18 million (around Rs 461.7 crore) plus interest.
Blue Star had maintained throughout the proceedings that the claims were baseless, unsupported by evidence, and factually incorrect.
The company informed stock exchanges on Thursday that the arbitrator has ruled entirely in its favour, dismissing WJT's revised claim of about Rs 462 crore.
However, the arbitrator has not yet decided on interest and legal costs, which will be addressed in a separate award.
Blue Star said the ruling has no financial impact on the company, as the claims against it have been rejected. The company has also shared the update with the BSE and NSE under SEBI's disclosure regulations.
